What if your next job was all about helping kids feel excited, confident, and ready to learn, without the stress of lesson plans or grades?
At Unbound Academy, we’re building a fully virtual, tuition-free charter school—one that replaces worksheets with hands-on learning and makes personal growth the main event. Here, students power through academics in two focused hours using AI-powered tools. The rest of the day is dedicated to something equally valuable: immersive workshops that foster life skills, curiosity, and confidence.
Your role is to keep the energy high and the logistics smooth. You’ll help students get where they need to go, support engagement in small group work, and jump in to motivate kids when they’re stuck. You won’t be teaching content, but you’ll be essential to making sure every session runs like magic.
If you’ve led kids in any setting—camps, sports, tutoring, youth programs—and you’re ready to make school feel personal, purposeful, and fun, this could be your next big move.
What you will be doing
- Supporting live virtual workshops by managing breakout rooms, transitions, and group activities
- Motivating students and encouraging participation through chats, shout-outs, and personal check-ins
- Helping kids stay engaged, confident, and connected during their learning time
- Assisting lead educators with behind-the-scenes logistics that keep workshops running smoothly
- Acting as a culture-builder and trusted presence in student clubs and life skill tracks
What you will not be doing
- Teaching academic subjects or delivering instructional content
- Creating lesson plans or grading assignments
- Designing curriculum or running workshops solo
- Sitting on the sidelines—this is a hands-on, high-energy role
Key Responsibilities
Support vibrant, virtual learning experiences by helping students stay engaged, organized, and energized throughout each workshop session.
Candidate requirements
- Willing to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
- At least 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
- Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
- Strong communication skills and high comfort with digital platforms
- Energizing, student-first presence with an eye for details and smooth transitions
Nice to have
- Experience with online learning tools or youth enrichment programs
- Background in after-school programs, summer camps, or club leadership
